By initiating a remote support session with drcomputerandassociates (“Service Provider”), you (“Client” or “User”) expressly acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Authorization of Remote Access
The Client authorizes the Service Provider to remotely access the Client’s computer system, data network, and associated devices for the limited purpose of diagnostics, troubleshooting, and technical repair. Remote access may be facilitated through Microsoft Quick Assist or a private virtual private network (VPN) connection. - Software Installation and Removal Obligations
- Where Microsoft Quick Assist is utilized, no additional software installation is required.
- Where a private VPN remote connection is employed, the Client is solely responsible for manually uninstalling any remote access software following the termination of the session and cessation of Microsoft Quick Assist functionality.
- Connection Credentials and Data Handling
The Service Provider shall delete any connection keys or access credentials from its systems immediately upon conclusion of the remote session. The Service Provider shall not retain, store, or otherwise access any personal data beyond what is strictly necessary to perform the requested technical services. - Third-Party Software Disclaimer
The Service Provider is not responsible for the functionality, security, or licensing of third-party software used during the remote session, including Microsoft Quick Assist or VPN tools. - Limitation of Liability
The Service Provider shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to data loss, system corruption, or hardware failure, arising out of or related to the remote access session. The Client assumes all risks associated with granting remote access and is advised to back up all critical data prior to the session. - Indemnification
The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Service Provider from any claims, damages, or losses arising from the Client’s failure to follow post-session instructions, including but not limited to the removal of remote access software. - Client Responsibilities and Right to Terminate
The Client is responsible for monitoring the remote session and may revoke access or terminate the session at any time. The Client further agrees to take all necessary steps to secure their system following the session. - Technical Limitations
Remote support is provided on a best-effort basis and may be limited by system compatibility, internet connectivity, or user permissions. - Consent to Electronic Communication
By engaging in remote support, the Client consents to receive communications electronically, including session logs, instructions, and follow-up correspondence. - Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This disclaimer and any services provided are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario. Any disputes arising from the remote support session shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
By proceeding with the remote support session, you confirm that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to the foregoing terms.
